Developed Start Safe Stay Safe – a printed resource (Coordinators’ Guide and Student Workbook) and accompanying CD-ROM – for Gateway coordinators and administrators to prepare students to be health and safety conscious in their work placements.
The resource is a flexible ‘tool box’ of case studies, photographs, slides, key messages and activities to enable Gateway coordinators to meet the specific needs of their students, and is linked to credible qualifications. The resource is currently being piloted in a number of secondary schools across New Zealand.
